Apple and airlines. And two super great products.

There’s a real reason Apple is going through the roof:

AppleToDate

KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is one of the top sources for Apple leaks. Earlier this year he absolutely nailed all the major details about the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

He says Apple will sell 71.5 million iPhones this holiday quarter, headlined by blowout sales from the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. That figure would crush the record 51 million iPhones Apple sold last year during the holiday quarter.

What an amazingly great world. Checked seven bags to California. They all arrived. At only $25 a piece, that was much cheaper than UPS. The plane,  from Virgin America, left on time, arrived on time — to the minute.  We walked onto the plane with Rosie in a dog carrier. No sweat. No charge. Nice people. It just IPOed — at $23 and has done well since.

VirginAmerica

A few years ago, it was growing fast. Then, it slowed and flattened. But it has big growth ambitions. Personally I prefer DAL.

Slingbox is the greatest invention since sliced bread. You’re traveling. The local TV sucks. So, jump on Slingbox and watch what’s playing at home or all the episodes of whatever you recorded at home. Admire the amazing quality. Remember, this is over the Internet.

If you need a two-line cordless phone system. This is the Panasonic KX-TG9542. I just installed it. I replaced an older system which could no longer reach our house’s extremities. This one can.

PanasonicTwoLinePHoneSystem

This new system has amazingly long reach, will run six handsets, conferencing, built-in answering machine, and will link to up to six cell phones via Bluetooth. That means you can answer your cell phone from anywhere in your house or office. You can also make calls on your cell phone from any of the Panasonic’s handsets. In essence, it gives you three lines. It’s available in various bundles from SmithGear. For one bundle, click here.

Latest great New Yorker cartoons. The New Yorker is a pleasure to read online. It sports the best online software of all the magazines and newspapers. Alone worth a subscription. These are from the latest issue. They’re great.

Harry Newton who admits to sleeping in this morning. I’m in Indian Wells, CA. It’s hard to get up at 3:00 AM. I’ll try better tomorrow. Time now to play tennis in 65 degree, 5% humidity, cloudless sky weather. Today’s definition of Paradise — California’s Coachella Valley today.
