No urgency to put in low-ball, buy bids this morning.
The market is up.
Good day to mull.
Gold is up today. Perhaps put in a buy order 20% below where it is now?
On-line glasses. You can buy prescription eye glasses for $20 or $1200, or anywhere in between. Buy them from a fancy local retail store, you’ll easily pay $350.
Glasses are not worth what you paid for them — unless you love the “designer” frame. The lenses you get for $20 or $1,200 are identical. You won’t see any better out of the $1,200 pair.
My favorite on-line vendor is Zenni Optical. I’m wearing glasses from them as I write this. They cost $19, frames and lenses. Shipping was $5 extra.
Here’s a perfectly fine bendable titanium half-frame for $19, which includes your prescription lenses. Comfortable and light.

An urgent problem
A knight went off to fight in the Holy Crusades but before leaving he made his wife wear a chastity belt. After tightly securing it to her, he handed the key to his best friend with the instruction: “If I do not return within seven years, unlock my wife and set her free to lead a normal life.”
The knight then rode off on the first leg of his journey to the Holy Land, but he had only traveled barely an hour when he was suddenly aware of the sound of pounding hooves behind him. He turned to see that it was his best friend.
“What is the problem?” asked the knight.
His best friend replied: “You gave me the wrong key.”
Harry Newton who went to the New York City Ballet and saw his favorite two dancers Tiler Peck and Sara Mearns. First Tiler.
Now Sara:
You are most fortunate to live near NYC Ballet. Which ballet production did you see?
Harry, you’ve accomplished the impossible – I may actually be a ballet fan!
