The place is booming (with tourists) . The restaurants are full (with Italians and tourists). That&#8217;s my learned on-site summary of Italy&#8217;s economy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Most importantly, all my family is healthy and happy, with the only disagreements being about which road to follow. Google gives directions in road numbers. Italian signs are by names or streets, not numbers. We got a toll for $60 because we drove up and down on the A1 without exiting &#8212; though we entered and left by the same exit. They assumed we started somewhere in North Africa.
