I bought a little more APO and bought a little NLY. I’d done well with NLY over the years. But when interest rates plummeted and it started falling, my stop loss rule kicked in and I dumped it. I don’t like trying to “catch a falling knife,” but interest rates are picking up. And NLY is yielding 16.29% at this price. Some insiders have been buying also. Look across the chart. There’s seems to be a “resistance level” around its present price of $11.<\/p>\n

I listened to Cramer’s comments on HP last night. He was bending over backwards to be nice to the the company. But his message was clear: Turning around Hewlett-Packard was a mnumentaly, if not impossible task. Hence, short HPQ. I always thought Meg Whitman couldn’t turn it around. And I never bought it, because I knew that Wall Street (and Cramer) was infatuated with her. Hence the rise — until now. No more.<\/p>\n

They’re finally getting rid of Microsoft’s Steve Ballmer. Yipee. And I actually own a little. Amazing.<\/p>\n

\nThe FBI had an opening for an assassin . After all the background checks, interviews and testing were done, there were 3 finalists; two men and a woman.<\/p>\n

For the final test, the FBI agents took one of The men to a large metal door and handed him a gun.<\/p>\n

‘We must know that you will follow your Instructions no matter what the circumstances.<\/p>\n

Inside the room you will find your wife sitting in a chair . . . kill her!!’<\/p>\n

The man said, ‘You can’t be serious. I could never shoot my wife.’<\/p>\n

The agent said, ‘Then you’re not the right man for this job. Take your wife and go home.’<\/p>\n

The second man was given the same instructions. He took the gun and went into the room. All was quiet for about 5 minutes.<\/p>\n

The man came out with tears in his eyes, ‘I tried, but I can’t kill my wife..’ The agent said, ‘You don’t have what it takes. Take your wife and go home.’<\/p>\n

Finally, it was the woman’s turn. She was given the same instructions, to kill her husband. She took the gun and went into the room. Shots were heard, one after another. They heard screaming, crashing, banging on the walls. After a few minutes, all was quiet. The door opened slowly and there stood the woman, wiping the sweat from her brow.<\/p>\n

‘This gun is loaded with blanks’ she said. ‘I had to beat him to death with the chair.’<\/p>\n

\nHarry Newton whom everyone says is a “baby” for complaining about the slowness of the recovery of his cataract surgery. OK. It’s Friday morning. The operation was last Monday afternoon. I can finally see with both eyes open together. What I see is not perfect, but it’s clearly improving. There is light at the end of this tunnel.
