Outlooks are heady. Facebook is losing teens. Starbucks is wary. Visa misses revenues. Shares may be droopy.<\/p>\n

The Fed sees the economy as weak.\u00a0 But it’s continuing its QE $85 billion a month buyback.<\/p>\n

The Red Sox won the World Series. Daughter Claire and son-in-law Ted, who live in Boston, are ecstatic.<\/p>\n

I learned a new Excel trick. I have a sheet called Allocation, which has all my brilliant (?) investments. It only has balances. Let’s say I want to show how they’ve performed, then I need another sheet. I link the two with a hyperlink. Right click the first line — in this case American Express. Hit hyperlink. Scroll down to Place in This Document. Select the cell (in this case A1) and the name of the sheet.<\/p>\n

Bingo, you’ve learned something. This works in Excel 2003 and should work in the later versions Microsoft botched.<\/p>\n
