Motivational BS. I spent yesterday chasing suppliers for stuff. I want to pay them real money. Apparently it doesn’t work that way any longer.<\/p>\n

Customers need to beg for service.<\/p>\n

Your customers do make a difference. Please pay them some attention. They include me.<\/p>\n

Cramer’s end-of-quarter strategy.<\/span><\/strong> June 30 approaches. Mutual funds will reveal their holdings on that date to the fund holders. For the managers to look good, they will need to hold the hottest stocks — the ones with the biggest gains in the quarter. Since most fund managers didn’t own these stocks, they will need to buy them in the next few days. Cramer’s five hot stocks are Akamai, Sandisk, MetroPCS, Salesforce.com and Pioneer Natural Resources.<\/p>\n

My big pile of unread newspapers and magazines. <\/strong>Finally the pile got to me. I spent hours last night reading the stuff. Conclusion: Cancel the new Rupert Murdoch Wall Street Journal. Cancel the new Bloomberg Business Week. Both are writing rapid “fill the space” stories. Little research. Little thought. Little creativity. I didn’t clip a single story or circle an interesting fact. Just drivel and more drivel. <\/span><\/span> I don’t need the guilt, dust and mess which the unread pile produces.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

My best news strategy is the Economist, the New York Times, Rolling Stone, the New Yorker and some of the online blogs, many of which I’ve listed in the left-hand column.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In short, don’t feel guilty if you cancel print subscriptions.

Wimbledon is on.<\/strong><\/span> ESPN 2 has the main gig. But every night The Tennis Channel has it repeated from 7 PM to 3:00 AM. They’re not part of this grid because their P.R. is hopeless. This chart from Tennis Warehouse is now wildly wrong, since ESPN2 is now showing World Cup soccer in\u00a0 the morning.<\/p>\n

A group of kindergartners were trying very hard to become accustomed to the first grade. The biggest hurdle they faced was that the teacher insisted on NO baby talk!<\/p>\n

You need to use ‘Big People’ words,’ she was always reminding them.<\/p>\n

She asked John what he had done over the weekend? ‘I went to visit my Nana’.<\/p>\n
