Why has not one banker been put in jail?\u00a0 Why are the same people who caused the sub-prime fraud still in charge and ready to cause the next banking disaster? Why were they able to keep their bonuses, despite the fraud and despite bringing our economy to its knees in 2008? Why do the bankers feel confident they’ll keep the bonuses in the disaster, and the government will bail their mistakes\/fraud out?Where does Jamie Dimon, head of the country’s largest bank,\u00a0 fit in? (Hint: it’s not good.) And where did Barack Obama find all the money to defeat Hillary Clinton who was leading until he got a big infusion of money? Best Buy is the strangest. <\/strong>Management pulls a rabbit out of its magic hat and investors <\/span><\/span>want to believe, so they drive the stock up.<\/p>\n

On Sunday I dropped by Best Buy’s Columbus Circle store. It made me cry. It’s an enormous store lacking in both merchandise and excitement. You get the impression no one cares, and no one has cared for the last five years. Here’s a typical “display” showing camcorders.<\/p>\n

The brochure reads “We Fix It.” I’m guessing all their camcorders were out for fixing.<\/p>\n

I did find something I wanted to buy, an Intel SSD (solid state drive). It was $139. I took it to the cash register. While standing in line, I used Best Buy’s free Wi-Fi to check the price at Amazon. It was $118.55. I showed\u00a0 the screen on my iPhone to the nice cashier. She promptly reduced my price to $118.55.<\/p>\n

For fun, I walked around the store and checked other Best Buy prices. I found a Canon G16 camera for $50 less<\/strong> at Best Buy than at Amazon. Go figure.<\/p>\n

I’m preferring the iPhone 6 Plus. <\/strong>Everyone says “It’s too big.” and “It slips out of my hand.” The little phone\u00a0 is way outselling the bigger one. At the Apple Store last night, I checked them both out. The big one is BIG. But it does fit in your pocket. Ignoring the technical benefits — like longer battery life, and a much better camera — the iPhone 6 Plus has one big benefit: it has a bigger keyboard. It’s easier for fat-fingered me to type on.\u00a0 I see photos bigger and type is bigger. Hence easier for me to read and enjoy the grandkids. Before you make your decision, go to an Apple store and check them out side-by-side.

My friend challenged me to publish this “joke.”<\/strong><\/span> I have no problem since I’m not pleased with Obama’s performance.<\/p>\n

I stopped by the Ford Dealership yesterday, for a look at the new F-150 pickup.\u00a0 Just for fun, I took it out for a test drive.<\/p>\n

I wanted to sense that new “feel” before they become extinct.<\/p>\n

The salesman (a black man wearing an Obama “change” lapel pin) sat in the passenger seat describing the truck and all its “wonderful” options.<\/p>\n

The seats were of particular interest.\u00a0 He explained that the seats directed warm air to your butt in the winter and directed cool air to your butt in the summer heat.<\/p>\n

Feeling like messing with him, I mentioned that this must be a Republican truck.<\/p>\n

Looking a bit angry, he asked why I thought it was a Republican truck.\u00a0 I explained that if it were an Obama truck, the seats would just blow smoke up your ass year-round.<\/p>\n

I had to walk back to the dealership. Damn guy had no sense of humor.<\/p>\n

\nThe priest in a small Irish village loved his chickens which he kept in the coop behind the church. One Sunday morning before mass, he went to feed the birds and discovered that the cock was missing. He knew about the cock fights in the village, so he decided to question his parishioners in church. During mass, he asked his congregation,<\/p>\n

“Has anybody got a cock?” All the men stood up.<\/p>\n

“No, no, that wasn’t what I meant. Has anybody seen a cock?” All the women stood up.<\/p>\n
