Actually it’s up slightly in the past 12 months — The ETF SGOL is up slightly from $122.74 to $124.97.<\/p>\n There is talk (subdued for now) that gold will rise this year. The end of the commodity boom is hitting resource-rich Australia hard, and\u00a0investment management giant BlackRock believes the Australian dollar has further to fall, down another 15% to about $0.70, according to Bloomberg.The Australians will not try to stop the fall.
