If the sanctions on Iran are lifted and it pumps (which it will), oil will fall even further.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">You&#8217;d think that lower prices would be great for most companies. It lowers their costs. And, for retailers, customers can get to them cheaper.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">But so far, most earnings reports haven&#8217;t shown that. My cursory impressions: This place is booming. The farms are awash in crops. Water doesn&#8217;t seem to be a problem. Real estate is exploding &#8212; strip malls, a huge discount &#8220;premium&#8221; outlet, normal chain box stores and residential apartment complexes everywhere. If I lived out here, I&#8217;d be building apartments near hospitals and renting them for $900 to $1000 a month to hospital workers.\u00a0 This part of the world is gorgeous. Californians are flocking here in droves. There&#8217;s no sales tax in Oregon. I repeat no sales tax.
