I shop Apple<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The local Palm Desert Apple Store is mobbed at 6:30 PM last night. Geriatrics and their children are lapping up iPhone X like there was no tomorrow.<\/p>\n

One ancient geyser insisted on instant service, “since I might not be alive to return tomorrow.”<\/p>\n

I’m trying to buy a Apple Watch. They tell me I’m young enough to come back tomorrow morning. Or better, order it online and pick it up in the morning. Which I did.<\/p>\n

I don’t understand the excitement with the iPhone X. I really like my iPhone 7 plus. It doesn’t recognize my wizened face, but it does recognize my intelligent thumb.<\/p>\n

I’m figuring Apple will hit $200 soon.<\/p>\n

I buy some GE<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I harken to 2009. Big companies were selling for pennies and later came roaring back. Now GE is selling for pennies.<\/p>\n

Several insiders have made large share purchases.<\/p>\n

GE’s business is a mess, largely messed up by previous management.<\/p>\n

Now GE has new management. There’s enough salvageable big businesses inside GE for the new guys to make something really good with it. A doubling of the GE share price in two years is not out of the question.<\/p>\n

That’s my entire reason. Here’s five years of GE. Buy when there’s blood flowing in the streets:<\/p>\n

Why you need three browsers<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

+ Some don’t work on some web sites — like bank or credit card sites. Especially after the bank fiddles with them (also called “updating”). I use Google Chrome, but I also keep Firefox and Internet Explorer on my machine. Last Thursday night, Citibank didn’t work with Chrome, but did with Firefox. Go figure!<\/p>\n

+ If you visit Harry looking for venture money, send harry a “Thank you for seeing us<\/em>” email. And keep Harry informed. Harry will not<\/strong> give you money because of your pretty PowerPoint deck. He likes to see something more substantive, perhaps something resembling a private placement memorandum (PPM). And references and logic!<\/p>\n

+ If you go away, don’t do this:<\/p>\n

Check your emails regularly and reply to your poor suffering clients — like me.<\/p>\n

+ Don’t tell your potential customers that the reason you won’t bargain is because “We have to keep the lights on.”<\/p>\n

I have a pile of 25 WATT bulbs. I give one to each vendor who won’t cut his prices.<\/p>\n
