I’m losing a little on EWZ (Brazil) and my Pimco New York bond fund PNYIX, although its high dividend will esily cover the capital loss, so far. I’m actually still making small buys of hot stocks, including Nike.<\/p>\n

From yesterday’s Wall Street Journal.<\/p>\n But H-P’s investigation determined instances where Ms. Fisher was paid for events that never took place; expense reports that appeared to hide Mr. Hurd’s meetings with Ms. Fisher; and evidence that appeared to contradict Mr. Hurd’s initial claim that he didn’t know Ms. Fisher well.<\/p>\n Ms. Fisher didn’t respond Monday to a request for comment. Her lawyer, Gloria Allred, declined to comment.<\/p>\n Mr. Hurd reached a private settlement in August with Ms. Fisher after which she said her initial claim contained inaccuracies, which she didn’t specify.<\/p>\n Personally I couldn’t care less if Mr. Hurd and Ms. Fisher had an affair. Click here.<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n Washington flights test\u00a0 Santa. <\/strong><\/span>Santa Claus, like all pilots, gets regular visits from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). It was shortly before Christmas when the FAA examiner arrived.<\/p>\n In preparation, Santa had the elves wash the sled and bathe all the reindeer. Santa got his logbook out and made sure all his paperwork was in order.<\/p>\n The examiner walked slowly around the sled. He checked the reindeer harnesses, the landing gear and Rudolph’s nose. He painstakingly reviewed Santa’s weight and balance calculations for the sled’s enormous payload.<\/p>\n Finally, they were ready for the checkride.<\/p>\n Santa got in and fastened his seat belt and shoulder harness and checked the compass. Then the examiner hopped in carrying, to Santa’s surprise, a shotgun.<\/p>\n “What’s that for?” asked Santa incredulously.<\/p>\n The examiner winked and said, “I’m not supposed to tell you this, but you’re gonna lose an engine on takeoff.”<\/p>\n Harry Newton who loved The Important of Being Earnest<\/em> by Oscar Wilde.
