“Buy the rumor, sell the news”, especially when it is so widely anticipated like the Verizon\/iPhone news.<\/p>\n

Verizon ran up, then sold off, three trading days before yesterday’s announcement.<\/a><\/p>\n

Apple was the big winner. It got to sell an obsolete iPhone 4 through another carrier. There’ll be an iPhone 5 in May\/June.<\/p>\n

AT&T was the big loser. Even Jon Stewart’s Daily Show<\/em> slammed the carrier for its reputed ultra-lousy service, featuring failed calls.<\/p>\n

I tried a Verizon iPhone 4 on one call to California at yesterday’s press confernnce. Then I used my own AT&T iPhone 4 to call the same Calfornia number.<\/p>\n

The AT&T call sounded better. Go figure.<\/p>\n

Awful flooding in Australia.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

It’s so bad that,\u00a0 after the Brisbane River broke its banks in several places. they evacuated downtown Brisbane — Australia’s third largest city.<\/p>\n
