I dumped it as it crashed &#8212; adhering to my 15% rule.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I am now aggressively buying it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I don&#8217;t like catching falling knives. But I have bought a lot of Nvidia in the last few days. I&#8217;m optimistic. Not for an immediate recovery. But longer-term.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">This is not a tech company with no earnings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Nvidia has sales growth, earnings growth, a dividend and a huge share buyback. How about that? From Yahoo Finance:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-58268\" src=\"https:\/\/www.technologyinvestor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Nvida-Quarterly.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"393\" height=\"369\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-58269\" src=\"https:\/\/www.technologyinvestor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/nvda-Annual.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"397\" height=\"372\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Now, as to why?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I have been writing about technology since 1969.\u00a0 That&#8217;s 53 years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I have never been as impressed with a tech story as I have with Nvidia. I&#8217;ve been &#8220;through&#8221; Microsoft, Apple, Intel, Amazon, Netflix, Facebook, Cisco, etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Nvidia used to be a chip company making chips for gaming and graphics. Now it&#8217;s chip company making chips <strong>and<\/strong> solutions for the Fortune 500,\u00a0 for the S&amp;P 500 and every company below that wants to use technology to improve its business. And that&#8217;s everyone (in my humble opinion.)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Two things blow me away about Nvidia. First, its new H100 chip has 80 billion transistors. That&#8217;s a lot of power.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-58275\" src=\"https:\/\/www.technologyinvestor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/h100-Hopper-chip.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"491\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Read more about the amazing H100 Hopper chip <a href=\"https:\/\/developer.nvidia.com\/blog\/nvidia-hopper-architecture-in-depth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>here.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Second, the way Nvidia has deliberately and brilliant expanded its business to include solutions for AI factories, processing mega info (called data analytics). business simulations<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">and robotics. If I&#8217;m not explaining much, it&#8217;s because it would take me 10,000 words&#8230;. Suffice. I&#8217;m excited.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">There are two Nvidia presentations worth watching and listening to. Study senior author Dr. Igor Koralnik said the study is the first to look, over such a long time period, at neurological symptoms in people who didn\u2019t need to be hospitalized for COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The study was published Tuesday in peer-reviewed journal Annals of Clinical and Translational Neurology.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cIt\u2019s important because &#8230; long COVID is not going to be going away,\u201d said Koralnik, who is chief of Neuro-infectious Diseases and Global Neurology at Northwestern Medicine and oversees the Neuro COVID-19 Clinic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Researchers believe\u00a0long COVID may affect up to 30%\u00a0of people who get COVID-19, which means an estimated 24 million people in the U.S. may be experiencing lingering symptoms, according to the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, though some studies have found that being vaccinated may reduce a person\u2019s risk of developing long COVID if they catch COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">For the full story, Click <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/long-covid-symptoms-lasted-median-050000086.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Mass shootings and what we can do<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">America has had 27 school shootings in 2022. The next day another angry man walked into a Presbyterian church in Laguna Woods, Calif., and\u00a0<a class=\"css-yywogo\" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/05\/16\/us\/california-church-shooting-hate-incident.html\">killed one person and wounded five others<\/a>. And now, Uvalde, Texas \u2014 a repeat of what was once thought unfathomable:\u00a0<a class=\"css-yywogo\" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/05\/24\/us\/shooting-texas-elementary-school.html?smid=url-share\">the killing of at least 19 elementary school children<\/a>\u00a0in second, third and fourth grades.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\" style=\"padding-left: 30px; text-align: left;\">\u201cI guess it\u2019s something in society we know will happen again, over and over,\u201d said Neil Heslin, whose 6-year-old son, Jesse Lewis, died in\u00a0<a class=\"css-yywogo\" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2012\/12\/15\/nyregion\/shooting-reported-at-connecticut-elementary-school.html\">the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting<\/a>\u00a0in 2012.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\" style=\"padding-left: 30px; text-align: left;\">The misery mounts, and yet nothing changes, leaving Americans with little more to do than keep lists, mental spreadsheets of death that treat events like Uvalde as just another morbid tally with superlatives like \u201csecond-deadliest shooting in an elementary school.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\" style=\"padding-left: 30px; text-align: left;\">Each event evokes some atrocity from the past, the exact details of each shooting growing more indistinct by the year: The latest death toll of 21 at Robb Elementary School in Texas surpasses the shooting in Parkland, Fla., in 2018,\u00a0<a class=\"css-yywogo\" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2018\/02\/14\/us\/parkland-school-shooting.html\">when 17 people were killed<\/a>.
