I watched Marcos Baghdatis beat Roger Federer last night –Marcos’ first time ever. But it ended late — 1:30 AM east coast time. I’m exhausted. I stay on east coast time to write this column.
Before I go back to sleep, I wanted to share a highlight.

Tiny tennis balls adorned her shoes. She was a highlight of the show, in addition to Mr. Federer’s awful unforced errors and Mr. Baghdatis’ wonderful tenacity.
Harry Newton, who’s exhausted after yesterday’s 2 1/2 hours of playing tennis and 7 1/2 hours of watching it. I skimmed the financial news and blogs this morning. Nothing that can’t wait until tomorrow. See you then.
