Small items:
+ Final stock in yesterday’s portfolio should be SLTM, not SLTN. The portfolio is up since Friday. But then so is most everything else, including SGOL (gold).
+ Skype reached a new record: 20 million simultaneous conversations. For families, Skype video is the best. The video and audio are crystal clear. And the price is right (between computers) — free.
Most laptops now come with built-in camera. But you can also buy external USB cameras for $30. Check Amazon out for “USB cameras.” All current Apple laptops and iPads have cameras. You can also do video Skype with the iPhone and iPod Touch.

My friends in Australia use Skype for business. I had a Skype video call between me and someone in Perth, Western Australia. That’s about as far as you can go. It wa perfect.
+ I dropped by the local Palm Desert Apple store yesterday. It was mobbed. One highlight: An Apple employee was showing stuff to a little old lady between 75 and death. She had just bought a new MacBook. I actually heard her squeak, “”This is the most fun I’ve had in years.”
+ Friend like FTK. Worth looking at.
Apple’s stock closed yesterday at $606.98.
Harry Newton who is visiting the local dermatologist (skin doctor) this morning. The doctor takes only cash and last time charged me 96% less than my New York dermatologist charged Medicare.

What are your thoughts on the crowdfunding exemption making its way through congress?

Harry…I use SKYPE frequently and have for years. Used to be pretty iffy now seems 95% pure and very good Video domestic and international. I even use it for local calls as I have a TrackFone, for my Cell service and pay 3 cents per minute so when I know I am going to be tied up for some time, like to a utility company or computer problems, I use SKYPE. I have no need for high-speed Cell service so the TrackFone works great and very inexpensive, for me.
