Outlooks are not positive. Yuch.

Outlooks are heady. Facebook is losing teens. Starbucks is wary. Visa misses revenues. Shares may be droopy.

The Fed sees the economy as weak.  But it’s continuing its QE $85 billion a month buyback.

The Red Sox won the World Series. Daughter Claire and son-in-law Ted, who live in Boston, are ecstatic.

I learned a new Excel trick. I have a sheet called Allocation, which has all my brilliant (?) investments. It only has balances. Let’s say I want to show how they’ve performed, then I need another sheet. I link the two with a hyperlink. Right click the first line — in this case American Express. Hit hyperlink. Scroll down to Place in This Document. Select the cell (in this case A1) and the name of the sheet.

I’ll be back to tomorrow with more. Maybe even a stock pick or two.
