Susan said “Let’s go the country one day early.”
So, we went last night.
It rained.
Good bye DSL. Good bye Internet.
Finally, the sun is shining. And I’m back on the Internet.
Last night I had a great idea for today’s column.
But this morning all my energies went into begging Fairpoint to fix our Internet.
I’ll be back later today with “The Great Idea.”
For now, enjoy the humidity and the good employment numbers.
Michael, my son, shot this. He says it’s my “Larry David” picture. Michael is talented.

I don’t see anything “talented” about this photo. It looks like it was taken with an old Polaroid. Harry, sometime post your dos and don’ts for buying a country home. I’m starting to look, and as someone who’s made lots of mistakes you should know. I’m won’t be buying in N.Y. state, of course. Taxes! It’s beyond me why you don’t spend six months and one day er year in a low tax state.
Cliff, it’s a picture of Harry that’s all. If you don’t have something nice to write, don’t. It stays around forever and by the looks of your email you have made some mistakes in your life as well. At least Harry owns up to his.
Mike, I willingly own up to my mistakes. For example, I wasted 17 seconds of my life reading your poorly written post above, which completely mangles all the rules of proper grammar. Yes, we all make mistakes, and one of yours is trolling this site & posting under a fake name.
I find Cliff’s comments highly entertaining. Yes, sometimes crude. Correction: almost always crude! But Henry is a tough guy and can certainly be aggressive and even crude when it serves him. P.S. I’ve known Harry for over forty years. Condolences accepted!! 🙂
Ha, great post. I can only imagine what a delight Harry was in his younger days.
I’m hoping THESE are Harry’s younger days. May he remain in good health and continue writing his column for another 50 years, and may I be around to read it at age 120.
Barry, That’s very sweet of you.
Thank you.
Cliff, you are correct on one count. I troll this site every weekday looking to learn something new. If that’s considered a bad thing in your book so be it. Also, “Michael” is my real name.
