Hot stocks skyrocket and plummet. Warm stocks edge up and edge down. You pick your ownership balance in line with your sanity. I made this little Excel chart showing moves yesterday in our portfolio (see right hand column):
I don’t know why the hot ones plummeted, but I’m sure they’ll come back. Balancing hot versus warm is integral to one’s sanity. I have far more money in warm ones. Am I old?
How to improve your home WiFi. Comcast has a neat post on “Ten ways you may be killing your home WiFi,” one of which is:
Good idea. You can buy timers on Amazon for $5. Read the Comcast piece here.
Small business is booming in Coachella Valley, CA. This real estate broker caught my eye. They sell foreclosures, divorce, inheritance and estate homes “at extremely low prices.” They can’t keep up with demand. Not enough people are dieing or being divorced.

Harry Newton, who is increasingly impressed with Amazon. So much easier to order on-line than to suffer the glacial traffic lights in the Coachella Valley. Drive 500 yards. Stop. Drive another 500 yards. Stop. Uncoordinated traffic lights give stupidity a whole new meaning. Yet it’s been that way for the 15 years we’ve been coming here. No need to text-and-drive here. Plenty of time to text while you wait for the moronic lights to change.
They say it’s going to rain today. I’ve never seen rain here. I wonder if the locals have as much trouble driving in the rain as Washington, DC’ers do driving in snow?

Harry,
Have you noticed the tear that China has been on? Such as KBA and ASHR?
Best ten bucks I ever spent…I just installed AdBlocker on my computer…I can’t believe how well it works…even blocks ads on your site…oops, hope I don’t put you in the poor house. You can download it for free or donate a few bucks…after using it I am kinda sorta sad I was so cheap and only donated $10.
