I remember the old adage: The two happiest says of a boatowner’s life are the day he buys the thing and the day he sells it.
In paradise, you can’t think about stocks — much. Except:
+ Amazon had its best Christmas ever and the stock is right. I was right buying more at $1750. I still think it’s a buy. We are amusing the kids with two games:

The second stock that popped into my brain is Apple. Turns out this resort has a gigantic 27 inch Apple Mac in its Media Room. I get to spent an hour with this awesome machine and boy, am I impressed.
The best way of thinking about Apple is it designs and builds their various equipments — Mac, iPhone and iPad — and the software . And then it promptly does an incredible job of integrating them — makes it easy for you and me to use them.
I realize I spend a huge of time fiddling with getting my Windows laptop to work with my Apple iPhone. There’s no reason for the time wasting. Apple’s figured it all out.
Here are a few of the things I like about the Apple stuff:
+ Reader view on Safari. Push this button on the right.
Suddenly no more ads. And you can read the web site easily.
+With messages you can text anyone with a Mac, iPhone or iPad. Can’t do that on Windows.
+ Safely store you information and files in iCloud. So when you edit a document on your mac, you see the changes on your iPhone, or iPad also. I’m sure you can do that on Windows. But it involves too much fiddling. I’m too old.
+ Work on files together. You and your team can all work in the same document — and never wonder who has the latest
version. Just click upload symbol and then click add people.

A friend’s wife picked up her grandkid. It wiggled. She felt on an ultra-slippery restaurant floor and broke her kneecap in half.
Not good. Months of painful rehabilitation.

Watch for unusual places this holiday season. Slippery floors, bathrooms and stairs are the worst.

Hey Lucky, I used that too for UNICEF. Knowing how penny pincher Amazon is, I was skeptical about their pricing with or without smile. I tested both and it is the same price. But not sure if they have some way of shielding actuals behind. I can never trust these guys, even for a good cause.
