Too late for Nancy Pelosi. Not too late for you. Money is pouring into the U.S. from sclerotic European economies.

Nancy Pelosi fell on steps IN Luxembourg.. They rushed her to a hospital in Germany, and replaced her hip.

Not fun.

The most dangerous step is the last one, going down.

Have I said that before?

I bet it’s the only useful thing you learned.

Visiting New York City

We’re here for a week. It’s really dangerous.

Motorized messenger bicycles are everywhere.

They obey no traffic rules. They travel fast. They travel with and against the traffic. They travel on pedestrian paths.

They weave between you and the bus or taxi you’re trying to board.

And when they hit you, they drive off.

Of yes, they have no insurance.

Stock prices are overpriced, but….

Money is pouring in from Europe, where the economies and governments of France and Germany, Europe’s biggest, are in a total mess.

Every investment letter I read says “Don’t invest in Europe (or China).”

Europeans know, understand and prefer the Magnificent Seven. That’s why they’re going up.

European startups don’t start in Europe. They start in Silicon Valley, USA.

There are two reasons: The culture and the cost.

+ Culture: Working hard is a sin. Holidays are worshipped. Failure is a sin, etc.

+ In Germany startups must have a notary read their full financing documents in person. The notary gets paid a percentage of the transaction size. Germany has devised a system that wastes both the time and money of its startup founders and discourages investors from participating.

Moodys just downgraded France. The New York Times just headlined,  “Breaking news: Germany’s government collapses”

Yuch.

Eric Trump Promises the ‘Most Pro-Crypto President’ in History

Saturday’s New York Times, Dec 14:

Speaking at a Middle East conference, President-elect Donald J. Trump’s son said his family had embraced cryptocurrency because some banks stopped doing business with them after Jan. 6….

President-elect Trump was initially a crypto skeptic — he called Bitcoin “a scam,” and said it was designed to undermine the U.S. dollar. But he started to embrace crypto on the campaign trail this year, as the industry spent more than $130 million backing congressional candidates.

In September, Mr. Trump and his sons started World Liberty Financial, a platform for investors to borrow and lend using cryptocurrencies. They unveiled a new digital currency, called WLFI, that was available for purchase.

The business got off to a rocky start. It aimed to sell $300 million of the WLFI tokens, which would have translated to a major windfall for the Trump family. After about two weeks, it had only managed to sell $2.7 million, according to a securities filing.

I asked Google for the price of WLFI. This is what I got on Saturday night:

World Liberty Financial’s price today is US$0.000000000001286, with a 24-hour trading volume of $2,426. WLFI is -2.16% in the last 24 hours. It is currently -36.62% from its 7-day all-time high of $0.000000000002029, and 8.16% from its 7-day all-time low of $0.000000000001189.

I bet you’ve never seen that many zeroes anywhere.

High-end appliances

Once there were high-end appliances like Miele, Wolf, SubZero that were better.

Now there are appliances like LG, GE and Haier that are better.

I’m not going to freak out over Nvidia’s recent fall

It’s gone through falls before. Here’s this year’s chart:

There’s another reason to live forever

Every billionaire and their uncle is signing up for Longevity centers. They catscan your full body and find false positives and positive positives.

I’ve read the bestseller books and attended the lectures. I’m 82 and want to live to 102.

I know all the techniques from eating right to exercising often, etc.

But The Big Thing I didn’t know was that all this health stuff makes your perform better now.

That really motivates me.

When in doubt, throw it out.

That’s Harry’s mantra. Right up there with falling on the last step going down.

This is priceless (and short).

How life ends

+ It’s been months since I bought the book, “How To Scam People Online.” It hasn’t arrived yet.

+ If your palm itches, you are going to get something. If your crotch itches, you’ve already got it.

+ I know how it will end for me. One of my kids will unplug my life support to charge their phone.

That’s it for today. — See you. — Harry Newton
