If you sell now, you’ll get hit with big taxes.
If you sell now, thinking you’re going to make BIG money with SpaceX, OpenAI, Anthropic etc, you’re delusional.
If you get depressed by the enormous gyrations in your daily wealth, join the party.
If you want to be happy, go to your granddaughter’s graduation from sixth grade at the Advent School in Boston.
Every member of the graduating class gave a talk. Sophie’s was the best. Here’s Sophie:

She spoke: “Before I leave the stage and leave the school, I want to leave you with a quote I heard “Meet your people and you’ll find your voice.” I feel this represents my time at Advent. My classmates have helped me come out of my shell (Believe it or not I do have one). And I”ve come a long way from when I used to be a shy second grader. I think this is because my classmates are kind, compassionate, loyal, loving, friendly, funny and my personal favorite — sarcastic….”
Pretty good for an 11-year old.
I bet you weren’t that mature when you were 11.
Every one is using AI
And, amazingly, every one is paying for it. My family in Australia echo what I hear from all my family and friends here:
“AI saves me so much time.”
One author told me he can accomplish research in an hour what previously took him days.
Friends are modeling their businesses using AI.
Several acquaintances have used AI to create web sites that scrap all their competitors pricing to check they’re not losing to cheaper prices.
Some have found new online businesses and done all the software programming themselves — even though they didn’t know coding from a hole in the ground.
Google Chrome is now AI, powered by Gemini AI. Ask it anything, even the ages of my favorite women tennis players. (Mirra and Iga).
Every one tells me Claude is head and shoulders above all the rest. Especially for programming complex ideas. For programming for dummies — you and me.
It looks like everyone is getting sucked into the usefulness (a.k.a. indispensability) of AI in their daily personal and business lives (is there a difference any longer?)
Soon, everyone will pay real money. I just paid $432 to Perplexity. And I’m paying Gemini. And, I suspect, about to pay Claude.
Whether that will make all the AI services and their zillions of data centers profitable, I have no idea.
But it sure looks like it’s happening.
While, we’re on it, many of my friends use Starlink from SpaceX as their Internet connection. They rave about its speed, reliability and accessibility in the remotest of places. . I’m I’m hearing there’s excellent Wi-Fi on the increasing number of planes using Starlink.
Some recent New Yorker cartoons I like

In another 35 years
Will Sophie Newton Maloney be the first woman President of the United States?
I sure hope so.
It in the cards.
See you tomorrow — Harry Newton, proud grandfather.
