Too much uncertainty. Too much yuchiness. See yesterday. A little that’s working:
NLY just declared a 65 cent per share dividend.
Things which clearly are not working:
There is talk of Research in Motion (RIMM- the BlackBerry maker) getting a takeover bid at its present, much-fallen price. Cover your shorts.
Hit the Save button every minute or so. That’s it. it’s too easy to lose your stuff. Computers and networks are fickle. They crash from one moment to the next.
The wrong solution, mate. This gem is from down under. It may or may not be true.
The Australian Government environmental minister, Peter Garrett, and the NSW (New South Wales) Forestry Service were presenting a solution to NSW sheep farmers for controlling the exploding dingo population more humanely.
They proposed the dingos would be captured alive. The males would be castrated and let loose. Hence, the dingo population would be controlled.
Tthe sheep farmers at the meeting thought about this amazing idea for a couple of minutes. Finally, one of the old boys in the back of the room stood up, tipped his hat back and said,
“Mr Garrett, son, I don’t think you understand our problem. Those dingos ain’t fuckin’ our sheep – they’re eatin’ ’em.’
The ensuing laughter broke up the meeting and Garrett and members of the NSW Forestry Service left the meeting very “sheepishly”. (Sorry about that.)

Harry Newton who wonders why politicians are so hopeless and so incapable of making obvious decisions. Greece needs to be out of the EU and devalued ASAP. Why prolong their people’s agony? Why does the IMF always suggest such stupid solutions? Is it — like everyone else — trying to protect all those dumb European banks who lent Greece far too much money?

Harry, what is the definition of “politician” in your dictionary? Probably you don't have it, since it is not a telecom related term. On the other hand, you may want to add it as: politician – those people who takes political career and makes politically correct decisions. (i.e. they don't make obvious decisions).
