My best-selling technology dictionary is now even bigger, -- more pages, more definitions, more up to date. Corporations in telecom, networking and computing use it for training. Telecom users love it because it explains the industry. Colleges use it in courses. Lawyers use it in litigation. The New York Times said it is "A fixture on the desks of many who deal with the technical world." An industry newsletter said it was "The one reference book we can't do without." An industry newsletter said "Pound-for-pound it is the best telecom book we have ever seen." Reviewers on Amazon have consistently given the book five stars. A feature of the dictionary is that many of the definitions are not just an explanation of the technology, but also a primer on how the technology is used. Do's and don'ts about using the technology. Tips from personal experience. What works and what doesn't. What to watch out for. Warnings. The latest edition now defines 33,889 terms. That's 44 years of hard work. Buy your copy here, please. After having dealt for decades with two of the most dishonest, quid pro quo industries in America — telecom and publishing, why wouldn’t Harry think that the crooks on Wall Street want favorable publicity before they’d part with any Twitter shares?
What?
I’m outraged. Outraged, I say!
(places monocle in left eye…)
Why, for what I pay for this confounded service, I expect results! (pounds desk)
Harruumph!
Gentlemen…. can I get a Harrumph?
Before I go, Harry, I’ll bet today you’re sorry you didn’t take me up on my offer of three weeks ago to get you in on the Twitter IPO. It’s up 76 percent as of 12:45 p.m. eastern Time. Was up 90 percent. Instead of reading your column I’ll be counting the $$$ I made today.
This is ridiculous, Harry. It’s bad enough you give poor investing advice, but now, after how many years of writing this lousy column you suddenly develop technical problems? Good bye.
Lighten up dude. You are way over the top. Harry’s doing just fine.
