On hold with the IRS

I ‘m on hold with the IRS.

It’s a 30-60 minute wait.

Somebody changed my address with them. And the IRS wants to know if that’s OK?

It’s not.

Is there a more boring way to start one’s day?

June s*cks in stockmarkets. There is gloom and doom on bubblevision (CNBC, etc.)

The Dow is now below its year opening — but not by very much. The green line is the year’s opening.

It’s been choppy, but not surprising. There’s guessing on the Fed’s interest rate moves — there’s the old mantra– “Don’t fight the Fed.” China is slowing. Greece’s latest bailout proposal is not “credible.” England is talking about pulling out of the EU. The banks are cutting back. HSBC is firing 50,000 people (most of whom hate their jobs). Stockmarkets worldwide (except China) are falling.

Apple’s developer hoopla didn’t excite and the stock is sliding. My largest position. Yuch.

This malaise is temporary. It’s one of those transition times. Underlying trends in the U.S. — employment, sales, etc. are good.

Emotions will flip, shortly.

I didn’t do any exercise yesterday. My Apple Watch is rebuking me. I’ll see if I can make it happy today.

A nice calculator. It’s called CalcTape. It makes a tape you can edit. That’s neat since I always mess up:

Scratchpad

Pick up CalcTape from Apple’s App Store.

An amazing hard drive. This little drive has a capacity of one terabtye, which is one thousand gigabytes.

It costs all of $59. Now you have absolutely no reason not to have external backup of all your working files. To buy it from B&H Photo, click here.

Harry Newton who has been on hold with the IRS for over an hour and a quarter. They keep telling me they value my business. Makes me feel good.

The IRS values your business…What a joke…As if you have a choice.
There is a much better way to fund the federal government. One that does not punish creativity and production. A tax system that renews our lost Freedom, Liberty, Civil Rights and God Given right to ones production, income, savings and investment. The solution is the FairTax with the bill HR 25 / S155.
