Today is the first day of:
The highlights of this two-day $7,500 seminar are the sessions called “Best Idea.” Hedgies get up and push their favorite long or short.
Sometimes they’re right. Last year someone pushed Petrobras (PBR) was the world’s best short. He was right.
Someone pushed Micron was the world’s best long. He was wrong. Horribly so.
Maybe we’ll do better this year. Even if we don’t, the money goes to charity — fighting poverty in New York City.

Harry Newton, who’s proud of his birth country’s Solidarité with the French.
Saturday was Eleanor’s second birthday. Here’s her and her new, favorite toy — a cash register.
The thing comes with real, fake money. Punch a few buttons. The drawer flies open and sprays coins everywhere — which thrills her. She’s not permitted screen time — TV, phone or iPad. But she is permitted to own her own cash register. Go figure.

Hi Harry
long time reader…love your work:) What do you think about cyberark at these levels. It has been getting crushed mainly due to weakness in its peer’s group but its earnings seems fine and continues to beat market expectations. I nibbled today and bought shares and hopefully I made a good choice. Who knows.
Have you tried the whole foods 365 brand ketchup yet? lol (great stuff)
Hi Harry-
Our son is with the US Air Force in the drone wars flying MQ9 Reapers – they have a slogan they chant- ‘Reaper call—kill them all’.
Not sure there are enough missiles for ISIS.
Harry if your looking for a country to be proud of try my birth country….Poland……they are not falling for this EU socialist bullshit.
Eleanor can put money in her toy cash register and then Grandpa Harry can lose it all with his lousy investments.
Eleanor’s next gift will no doubt be a bank to learn to save her money in…a real one no doubt…Grandpa can afford it!
