On way to London. I’ll be profound on the plane.
If Home Depot (HD) drops some more, buy it.
Every company and its uncle are buying back their own shares. It’s the latest craze. It’s because Trump reduced the corporate tax rate from 35% to to 21%. Buybacks are buoying the market. Even Warren Buffett buys his Berkshire Hathaway stock back.
Favorite tools this morning
+ Instapaper. Captures a web site I want to return to.
+ Windows Snipping Tool. Lets me clip all the tasteless images and useful (I hope) stock charts.
+ Captio. Write a message to yourself. Hit the send button and it emails your brilliance. Fast and useful.
+ Kindle for my PC. The typeface on paper books is too small. Kindle can make the type readable. Also I can highlight good stuff. And Kindle stores them in a file called “Notes.” When I buy a book on Kindle, Amazon immediately downloads it directly to my PC. Super fast.
+ Pocket Casts is the best podcast app for your phone. Costs $3.99. Worth every penny.
+ Adobe Photoshop. I have an old version. But it’s just fine for fiddling all the images you see here.
+ Mozilla Firefox will get you logged onto public networks, e.g. those at airports. Chrome hasn’t figured it out, yet.
Meantime, some funny nonsense

Harry Newton, who is visiting Claire’s kids — Zoe (on left) and Sophie.

Have a good trip to London Harry…enjoy some good Pub Grub.
