Chartists tell me gold and silver broke their 4-month old primary uptrends falling below their 50 day moving average.
The theory is that money is now pouring into stocks from money on the sidelines and from bonds — bond funds are cratering, many at their lowest point in a couple of years.
I don’t believe gold’s long surge has ended. It’s taking a little breather.
You can see the recent surge in stocks like Verizon (VZ), at&t (T), and Johnson & Johnson (JNJ). VZ and T went ex-dividend today, so will fall a little.

Harry Newton who is astounded how efficiently Apple seems to run its App Store and the monies it pays its developers. I hope my dictionary will be up shortly. I filled in all the “paperwork” this morning. Tax. Bank. Contract. Amazing how efficient a computer can be when it works intelligently. I’m off to CES in Las Vegas this evening. Should be fun. Maybe I’ll find a tech nugget, or two?
