Microsoft streams at 11:00 AM. Which companies I like to invest in.

Microsoft has a streaming shindig at 11 AM ET this morning, which you can watch. Go to Microsoft.com.

I have no idea what they’re announcing. I’m guessing they want to look woke like Apple which had one a few weeks ago and announced exciting new stuff, which I bought — new phone, new watch.

My left injection arm is a bit sore. But my ecstacy over getting a Moderna booster remains extreme. I”m going to live to 120, if I don’t get hit by a bus.

Great pleasures

+ Lying in bed reading a Kindle book on my laptop.

+ Wearing my Sketchers slip-ons. They’re ugly, but oh so comfortable.

+ Saying NO to dumb investment ideas — like those from JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley I read on CNBC  and dumb news: “Credit Suisse says the sell-off in Disney is overblown, stock can rebound nearly 30%.” How do they know and why do they tell me, a member of the great unwashed? I’m not a Credit Suisse client. I was once. That didn’t work out.

+ Saying No to crypto. I just received a press release:

Almost 5,000 new cryptocurrencies launched in the last 12 months
The cryptocurrency sector is still growing, attracting more investors aiming to leverage various benefits of the industry. Additionally, the number of new cryptocurrencies joining the market is also accelerating as creators seek to leverage the benefits of blockchain technology.

Who cares?

+ Watching TV on YouTubeTV. You can record, fast forward, repeat, watch it on your travels and on your laptop’s screen. Also it doesn’t die when there’s a little cloud in the sky, like AT&T’s miserable DirectTV.

+ Receiving emails that answer all my questions — and receiving reply emails promptly. I like gettng things done.

Basic investment philosophy

FedEx is down 8%+ after bitching about lack of labor — everyone’s problem today. Dah!

I don’t like FedEx. Their web site is awful. Their customer service stinks. And I’m not interested in investing in a company that is so reliant on labor.

I want companies that do good with computers and the cloud. I want scaleability — without having to buy huge expensive things like planes and warehouses.

I like companies whose business model can grow fast without too many people, but just oodles of technology.

The list of stocks I prefer is in the right hand column on my web site. I own them all.

Bad jokes

Used Car –1

A blonde wanted to sell her car, but couldn’t find any buyers.

She called her friend for advice, and her friend asked her how many miles she had on her car. “235,000 miles.”

Her friend told her that was the problem.

Then the blonde’s friend told her that her brother is a mechanic and could put back the miles to whatever she wanted.

So the blonde went to the mechanic and told him to put the miles at 40,000.

Two days later the blond’s friend asked her if she sold the car since her brother dropped the miles.

The blonde told her, “Why would I sell the car? There are only 40,000 miles on it!”

User Car — 2

A wealthy texan is touring the Kibbutz in Israel. The guide shows him ever corner. In 15 minutes the tour is done. The Texan says, “back home in Texas, I can drive two hours and still be on my ranch.”

The Israeli responds.. I had a car like that, too.

Later

I want to watch the Microsoft stream in half an hour and then I play tennis.

I’ll be back later. This is fun. Get yourself a booster shot (at CVS) and feel on top of the world — like me.
