Lots of implications for us, as investors, to mull:
+ Drill, Baby, Drill. Clearly means energy stocks will have a new life. I’m guessing stocks like Chevron and Exxon should do well. Here’s a list of energy stocks that have done well this month. Click here.
+ The Magnificent Seven should do magnificently. The Biden Justice Department doesn’t like Big Companies for whatever dumb reason. And so the pressure should lift, letting the Biggies buy and divest, and run their businesses as businesses.
+ Specialty stocks like OKLO and PLTR should do well as the environment loosens and their technologies get accepted faster. I own and like both.
+ Maybe the bank stocks? But Trump has always said he likes low interest rates. Fortunately, he and Powell are on the same trajectory — downwards. The theory is that M&A will boom. The Democrats were always a bit shy of big mergers and big acquisitions.
+ Tesla will sell more cars. Dah. He made a $75+ million bet on the election and won. New tariffs on EVs from Chinese should make Chinese EVs unaffordable — intentionally.
+ Burdensome regulation. Most of all, companies that are burdened by government regulation will see a new path to growth. Don’t believe me? Watch this long interview with the man who’s about to head a new government agency called the Department of Government Efficiency (or as Elon calls is DOGE.)
Remember this recent magnificence:
Well, here’s a mind-blower: It took longer for Elon to get the necessary paperwork from the government to launch that rocket than it took to build the rocket.
That’s mind-blowing!
Want more on what’s about to happen to government regulations when Elon does to them what he did to Twitter.
Watch this. Caveat. It’s long. The good stuff is near the end.
That’s it for now
That’s it for early investment ideas as a result of the Trump win.
Once you turn your head away from the ugliness of the campaign rhetoric and turn your head to investment implications, things become quite interesting. And already most profitable.
More later .
