All a big misunderstanding.

Today is a holiday of sorts in the U.S.  Stock exchanges are closed. Most banks are closed. It’s a good day to stay home, do some reading and some mulling. I’ll be back tomorrow. But for now:

Item 1, the weekend’s best cartoon:

ChristieBridge

Item 2 is the best weekend reading — The special report on Tech Startups in the latest Economist:

EconomistTechStartups

I excerpted a little of report in Friday’s column. Click here.

Item 3. Consider reading Getting Started with Rails. The Economist says Ruby on Rails is an “easy to learn programming framework.”

Rails

If you don’t learn a programming framework, at least get your kids or your grandkids to. You’ll learn why in the Economist’s special report.

Harry Newton who’s in midstate New York where it’s snowing, again, and he’s shoveling snow. Such joy.

A HOLIDAY OF SORTS?? Do you know how inflammatory that statement is to people of color?

    • Harry Newton says:

Loosen up. some banks are closed. some shops are open. some businesses are open. Some are closed. it’s a holiday of sorts.

  2. Harry_the_liberal_fool says:

Harry, are you still in love with Obama? You seem to be convinced that Christie is not telling all.

    • Harry Newton says:

I have long ago lost my “love” for Obama. I was thrilled with Christie, until this happened. I am dubious now.

I actually looked at purchasing the Ruby on Rails owners (David Hansson) house in Chicago. Lets just say I would love to own his car collection more than his house…it was pretty impressive.

don’t be foolish, your back is your life, hire it done

  5. Fderfler says:

Ah yes, twisting and turning while lifting. SO good for your back. Can’t you HIRE somebody? Haven’t you heard we’re in a jobless recovery?

    • Harry Newton says:

I have a nice man who does the plowing. But shoveling is my job. It earns me brownie points.
