Super employment numbers. Excellent beginning to a great weekend.

Employment numbers excellent.

Unemployment rate now lower at 5.4% than before the Great Recession. Lower than since May 2008.

Market this morning is up. Hope it stays up.

Whole Foods stayed down yesterday. Good price still to get in. Here’s the last two days.

Harry, is that another photo of your granddaughter or a frog?

Don’t believe the government numbers. Try This http://www.shadowstats.com/. Another well known investor told me this is where he can get reliable numbers.

    Harry,

You are a very smart guy. You know the unemployed are far greater than the official unemployment numbers, and does not include the tens of millions who’ve given up looking for work and more millions under-employed made worse by Obamacare. Our true employment numbers are terrible. Why pretend otherwise – make Obama and crowd look good? Corrective action, as you say so often, requires starting with the honest hard facts, then intelligent corrective action.

      I like the frog joke.

Just saw some numbers on the Drudge Report: 93,194,000 not in the labor force, 56,167,000 women. Shockingly big number.

Yes, it’s amusing. The greatest country in the world (not counting the fact that other countries have a higher standard of living) can’t come up with an accurate figure of its unemployed people. The government sweeps under the rug millions people who have been completely ruined and have stayed that way for years.

Enjoy Maine Harry…we lived just north of where you are in Ellsworth, near Bar Harbor for around 30 years off and on…mostly on summers and off winters…did spend a few winters there…no more.
AutoSlash outdid themselves in getting me a good car rate. Would you believe $10.00 per day in San Francisco? One day Hertz $60.+…3 days with Payless $59. with taxes!
Enjoyed wonderful Crab Cioppino at Scoma’s Restaurant…our old time favorite.
