Now look at the chart and recognize that the U.S. economy grew at 2.4% in 2015 and 2014, but only 1.5% in 2013.
There’s no correlation between how well the economy does and how well the market does. Which is probably the reason economists are lousy investors.
What I don’t like at present:
+ Banks
+ Biotech
+ Oil, energy and commodities
+ Miners
What I like at present:
+ Residential real estate for the middle class — $900 to $1400 a month rent, in fast-growing areas.
+ BSV and SGOL as hedges.
+ T and VZ for dividends.
+ Sell covered call options.
+ HD, NKE, GOOGL, FB, HA and ALK for growth.
+ Lenovo X230 ThinkPad and Windows 7 for ultra reliability.
+ Tennis, biking and eating less for longevity.
+ Grandkids for amazement. The daily change is amazing. Thank you Apple for PhotoStream and FaceTime — the two major reasons everyone should have an iPhone.

I used to like John Oliver when he was calling our government out for spying on Americans.
The Democrats don’t like Trump. The Republicans don’t like Trump. The establishment doesn’t like Trump and neither does the media. If those 4 groups are against him, I figure he must be doing something right. 🙂 I hope he doesn’t wind up like Abraham, Martin and John.
