I’m not big on biotech. But I’m making two exceptions. Fun stuff for the grandkids.

I’m not big on biotech. There’s too much risk of the drug not panning out. Then there’s the government that calls drugs “experimental” even though 165 million Americans have been experimented on — they’ve been vaccinated.

But then I eye this headline:

Whoever has heard of Novavax (NVAX)?

I read its web site. I don’t understand the technology, though the graphics are pretty and impressive.

Then I look at all the vaccines it’s got in the pipeline and I’m blown away.

NVAX is about eleventh the market cap of Moderna…So it has a long way to go. Look at our favorite MRNA flying:

I’ll write about the second biotech stock tomorrow — if you send me a begging email.

Eleanor, 7, loves her BIGGERFIVE Fitness Tracker Watch.

I want one, too.

It’s an activity tracker, pedometer, heart rate sleep monitor, calorie counter, step counter, watch with alarm clock And it’s waterproof. You can swim with it.

Eleanor did 13,178 steps yesterday. The graphics on this thing are incredible.  It’s a bargain $26.99. Click here.

Everyone in our house has a pair

They come in many colors and cost only $9.95 a pair at Target.  Click here.

Have you seen Target’s share price this year?  Fortunately, it’s on our list.

I tried to rent this water slide from a local entrepreneur.

He wanted too much. I wsted two days negotiating with him. We got within a $150. But he wouldn’t budge.

But I did. I bought one at Amazon for less than the entrepreneur wanted to rent his.

We get a an Inflatable Water Slide Park with Splash Pool Climb The Wall, 3 Inflatable Sport Balls and 4 Water Guns. The grandkids are going to love it. All of them will here tomorrow. To buy the pool, click here.

You could rent yours out, too.

Hearing aids revisited, part 628

Conclusions:

+ There’s no such thing as a “universally” useful pair of hearing aida.

+ Listen to iPhone music,. Choose an AirPod.

+ Listen TV? Choose a cheap Sennheiser wireless — not Bluetooth — headphone. All members of your family can listen with their own headphones at different volumes.

+ Listen to YouTubeTV on your laptop, choose any wired headset or earbuds. Even the cheap junk you used to get on planes.

+ Noise cancelling works only with low frequency sounds — like the sound of jet engines. Bose makes pricey solutions. You don’t travel enough. Skip these.

No one these days needs to spend $6,000+ for a “professionally adjusted” pair of hearing aids. What most of us need (me included) is a loudness boost. I still love my $99.99 el cheapos — Click here.

This is me and Xena at 7:30 this morning, before I got beaten.

I ended this morning with a brilliant down-the-line backhand winner.

See you soon — Harry Newton
